i don't auto, and there are a few reasons for this, not all of the morality issues like other people here.
when i started playing runescape, i didn't even know that there were auto bot programs out there, perhaps if i had known long ago, i may well have used them, but that's not an issue anymore, so c'est la vie...
by the time i had learned about such things as auto programs, i didn't feel the need for them, i enjoy all aspects of the game, and i don't really spend much time doing one single thing in game for me to get bored of the meanial tasks such as fishing or fletching.
yes some skills can be considered boring, but if you do them in moderation and go off and do other stuff in between it really isn't necissary to auto.
i don't like the fact that it is against the rules to auto, and this is another very good reason for me to have never used auto bots, i like my account, and i don't want to loose it, and therefore i don't actively try to get it banned by doing silly things like cheating.
if you use an auto program in game, then that is the choice you make, it just so happens that it's something i have never really considered doing for myself, i like getting my lvls myself i find i have a little pride in achieving all that exp by sitting here and not having some program do it for me automatically.
yes you might beat me to 99 in many skills, and yes you may beat me in getting 200mil exp on everything, but at least i know i have had the enjoyment of playing the WHOLE time lol and every moment is worth it to me.

Autoing in for newbs who don't really want to play the game. I do't think its fair on all the players who worked for thier levels then having some people who just pressed a button and swat back.
I rest my case!

No, I don't auto. What's the point of even playing a game if you're going to cheat your way through it? I'll stick to leveling my skills the way they were intended to be leveled, rather than taking the easy and lazy way. It goes along with my morals and standards. And besides, I've invested way too much time in my skills to risk my character being banned for laziness, basically.
By the way, I'd be careful if I were you. Jagex is harsh on autoers.

Slimmeh, games reflect life, in a way. Because you're the person behind the character, are you not? Yes, it's true that if you know what you're doing, you won't be banned, but still. Again, what is the point of playing a game if you're going to cheat your way through it?
Having morals and standards doesn't mean that I take the game seriously. I realize that it's just a game, and it's insignificant compared to other things in life.. It's the priciple of it all, however.

First and foremost! I just want to say that i have autoed before but i stopped. I considered the moral aspects to my actions and i realized that i had not thought my decisions out carefully. Is it really right for you to be lazy and auto? is it fair? And why would you auto, if the point of the game was to not only reap the rewards, but partake in the struggles to get there?
Second! I am a nerd, and i dont understand how being called one will work as an insult? Oh, excuse me, i forgot i was talking to a 5th grader who's laziness overcomes their perception of right and wrong and who's values do not play a role in their life, be it virtual or real.
