i hope not cuz then we would have to make new accounts and train all over again and be noobs from the beginning

I really doubt it, Runescape 2 will go on for several more years before it ends if it does. I think most people would expect RS3 to have graphics comparable to that of WoW or other high-end MMORPGS, which I doubt JaGeX would do, because one of the major appeals of their game is the ability to be played from almost any computer with Java installed.

no there probably will never be one.. lol there already using enough of java's resources unless they change clients

I dought it an rs3 means another graphic engine. And if they switch to cooler graphics like on wow, they wont be java based, and will lose their name jagex. Rs rite now is at its best that it could be. But dont get your hopes up kid.

i'd like to inform many of you that wonder if rs3 will come out, that yes, it will come out at the end of 2007/beginning of '08.as rs classic, rs2 will not end ever, and will be updated with the quests that also will appear on rs3. however, do not be fooled of the many sites that claim that the rs beta is out, and post a link. DO NOT VISIT OR ENTER YOUR PASSCODES AND USERNAMES ON THESE SITES!they are fake websites. in fact do not visit any website any websites that claim that you can play runescape on them, unless it says www.runescape.com and has a small sword beside the the URL. another way to figure a fake is that rs2 developers use linus so no HTML is used. beware!!!

There won't be runescape 3. It was officially announced by Jagex yesterday. There will be another mmorpg called mechscape. Happy Myloting!

The original runescape was around for 2 years or so before RS2...and RS2 is so much better that i will last quite a long time... there are so many possibilities yet to come...the major change to RS2 came with their upgraded servers and better graphics though....so possible? yes....likely in the near future? no...
