well,it is not a complex procedure to format hard disk through windows Xp..if u want to format ur hard disk insert ur xp cd and then boot from Cd-rom..after making the list..there is an option to format the hard disk ...so u can use that option to format ur hard disk...and u can also rebuilt ur partions
