Hello everyone! I was really surprised to see how many people used neopets, wow! Well. I made an account for my nieces. They are only 4 and 6 right now, but I made them an account so that when they are old enough to understand how to use and play on neopets they wont be starting with nothing. They will have whatever I can get for them in that time!

i and my daughter have tried to to get an account for neopets and we can not because it always comes back to something that has to with the cookies in the computer so we gave up if you can give me a helpful hint please let me know thanks

I never had a problem with making an account. But afterwards there were certain things I could not do. For example, I could not feed or play with my pets. And there were certain games I couldnt play. But we got our new computer and never put up a firewall, and know I can do anything. And even without the firewall my computer hasnt had any major problems

You have to lower your security settings for the cookies to be enabled. You should be able to find this by going to your control panel (or tools) and select internet options. Go to the security tab & lower the setting to medium. That should allow you to play again. :)

neopets is a virtual pet site. Normally I think it is for kids, but so many older people use it too. It appeals to everyone! =P There are games and items you can get. You should join and check it out!

Hi LilyoftheThorns. When my daughter was much younger we both had an account. I must admit that she got me hooked by feeding her neopet when it was at the starving point at first. It was kind of like her virtual pet game so I didn't mind. Until I wanted to do some of the free goodies and found she had already collected them for the day. I had to get my own account set up then, lol. As she got older, we would use the email feature to keep in touch when she would visit both of my sisters during the summer. We were able to have daily contact thru a family friendly game and it was nice to see what interested her so much with the site.
She's 21 now & still has her account. She would probably tell you to store your stuff in the vault or a store so you can get it later instead of letting one of the BAD spins get your goodies. :)
I hope you and your nieces have as much fun with neopets as we did.

oh! thats cool that you both used it to keep in touch! Def. a good way, I'll have to remember that when I leave to go to college. And good idea about storing everything in your vault, i'll def. do that! Thanks for responding! :)

If you join up with the premium account (you can try it free for a couple of weeks, then it's US$7.99 a month) you get an email address that can be used as a main email. I can send you an invite if you like. There's a bunch of other cool extras with it too, like the free weekly scratchcard and more common and better random events (Something has happened! "SHHs" for the real neogeeks)

Hi, another convert for the neopets cult. hehe.
I think it would be more fun if you showed your nieces the pets avaiable and let them choose which ones they like and let them choose only 1 or 2, that way, if they fall in love with another one they can still add more.
Also make sure to play the stock market I guarantee if you play it well they will have oodles of NP!! :)

I actually already made their neopets =/ I made 3. But I think they will like them because I named them after Phantom of the Opera characters (they love thta movie-at least the 4 year old does). But when they are old enough to play I'm sure they will want to have seperate accounts, so my younger niece will get the phantom of the opera one and than my other will make her own and she'll get half the stuff I earn for them! :)
I do the stock market sometimes, but it doesnt always go too well for me! =P
