What is your favorite hobby/craft and why?

I personally, like to do a bit of everything. It all depends on my mood. Sometimes I like to create OOAK jewelry such as hemp necklaces, bracelets and cameos. When I am really motivated, I also like to oil paint. The subjects I favor are wildlife and nature...If I could just remember how to do it, I'd also love to re-learn how to crochet. It is a tedious craft, but once you get the hang of it, can be very addicting as well! Why do I like to craft, well, for one, it keeps my mind busy and also, keeps me out of trouble!! Crafting and having productive hobbies can be quite therapeutic I feel! How about you!? What are some of your favorite arts and craft activities?

I like to do craft work. i've made soft toys, including care bears and snowmen; I used to knit a lot; crochet; I bake, ice and decorate celebration cakes, including wedding cakes; make greetings cards, and a bit of woodwork. I like to make my own altar tools as well, because I'm Pagan. I really enjoy what I do and get a lot of satisfaction from the end results. Brightest Blessings.

Wow! You must be quite the artist :) So you like to craft with wood? That is something I've always had an interest in! What type of woodwork? I would LOVE to learn how to either carve or do some kind of woodburning. I am impressed that you make your own tools, that must be give you quite a feeling of accomplishment! The woodwork is normally in the making of tools, and involves just a little shaping and rubbing down, and some burning into the wood, a pentacle shape, or alternately, it can be marked out by using a gouging tool and a steel rule to keep your lines straight. I'd like to make an offering bowl but I think I need some sort of machinery to shape that. I like to make my own tools because I believe it makes them more personal and powerful to me.
