If you ask me, I would say manga (japan's comic)immediately. From those manga that I started to like Japan. My love to japan is spreading from manga to the culture, the environment, the temple, even the school. I even wished I was born as a Japanese. ;P

I love Japanese television and music (most especially anime) and I also love cute Japanese fashion!
Another thing I really like about Japan is their schools. They wear such cute uniforms, especially in middle school. Also, I think there is less bullying and troubles like that in Japanese classes because the students stay together all day and have special jobs in their class, and class togetherness and pride is promoted a lot more. The whole class can work on festivals and projects together so no one is left out!

Actually, you can try it. You can buy school uniforms from cosmates.com or jbox.com (jbox has boy and girl uniforms)

I think that the bushido code is by far the most interesting aspect of Japanese culture. It's truely fascinating reading about how they view honor and "face." I think it is an excellent way to live ones life and I'm glad to see it still exists in more modern form.

The most interesting thing about Japanese culture is, in my opinion sumo. Sumo is more than a sport, more than a tradition - a way of life. A beautiful and honorable way of life.
Following the same spirit I think the bushido, the code of the samurai would come next. Just that nobody lives like that anymore, while sumo kept all its beauty intact.
From modern Japan I admire the anime, the animated version of manga. As you said, it comprises a vast domain of the Japanese (and not only) way of life. Not to mention that Japanese are top cartoon drawers.

The thing I like about Japanese culture is that their work ethics. Japanese tends to be tidy and clean. I also love their architecture, technology (i.e., electronics), and souvenirs (it is cute, modern but stylish)

Yes, Japanese have a strict work ethics. I also like their neatness. But be careful not to end as workaholic.
