I make and sell jewelry online - www.bibelots.etsy.com
Most people I have asked here sell their wares on etsy.com. I had tried ebay.com but didn't have much success - not sure if it was me or ebay.
While I do sell things, I am not getting rich doing it. Most of my customers have been friends and family. I need to do more to promote my store, but I do work full-time as well as do my crafts, so I do not have a lot of time. I am also teaching jewelry classes starting next month so there will be a little less time for everything else.
I didn't start making jewelry to sell it, I make it because I enjoy it. Other people enjoy what I make and pay me for my pieces.

I have sold a few pieces of my stuff too.
A coworker friend also makes jewelry - thankfully different stuff than mine! Not too long ago she attended a party that a family friend had that featured several other friends and their crafts. It was a big success as she (friend) sold quite abit of her collection.

The jewelry business is a very competitive business and becoming increasingly more competitive, I have been making for quite awhile but have 2 small children and haven't really had the time I need to put into it and if you want to make a business out of it be prepared to spend probably twice the amount of time or more that you would spend at a regular job to get the same return. In this business your not only a jewelry designer you have to be a web designer, photographer, sales person, marketer and I'm sure I'm forgeting things but although it's not a get rich kinda thing if you truly have a passion for and love creating jewelry it is very rewarding.
