Sometimes, while dreaming, I would know that I am dreaming and that I am in my dream. Realizing my state, I am starting to control my dream. I can do *everything* (as in everything) specially Flying which is my fantasy. Not only that.. I can see the very start of my dreams. And because of that, now I know that a certain dream doesnt have a beginning. When you dream, it's like you started in a middle of a story already. How about you? Do you experience lucid dreaming? You might want to share some of your experience while you dream.

I did not know that it was called "lucid dreaming," but when I was a little girl, if I were having a bad dream, sometimes, I would realize that I was dreaming and tell myself that all I had to do is lay down in my dream and I would wake up. It always worked.
Now, my dreams have gotten way more interesting. My roommate catches me cussing people out in my dreams. I don't know if she realizes yet, that it is usually her that I am cussing at. I have some animosity toward her because of the way that she keeps house and it comes out in my dreams.
I know that she is telling the truth, because a lot of times I realize that I am talking because it seems like there is something wrong with my voice in my dreams and that is because I am actually trying to talk.
Then, there are the times when I sleep with my music a little to loud and I am either watching someone perform the song that I hear or I am running around in my dreams trying to turn off every radio I find, but they never go off. I will unplug them, take out they battery, I think I even shot one, one time and it just continued to play. My dreams are quite interesting to me.

You are not going to believe this, but I had a dream once that I too was going to kick someone in my dream. I kicked and when I did, I fell on the floor and woke up, laughed, and went back to sleep.
My dreams also tell me things. Like one night, I had a dream that I was at a hospital and I was looking all around for water, but I could not find any. No body could help me. Then, I woke up, had a glass of water and then went back to sleep and everything was fine.

Hahahaha.. that was a very funny experience. I haven't experience falling on the floor. Sometimes my dreams where a warning for something will happen. I have a lot of it. Usually I ignore it coz at first I am not aware that that dream is a warning. Then when something actual happended after a few days of a certain dream, that's where I will remember what I have dreamed that relates to the current event that happened.

I have sleep apnea and I always know when I'm not breathing because in my dream I am always in a position where either I am in a place and I need to leave but something is always delaying me, or I"m in a swimming pool diving and taking a long time coming up to the surface or something like that. So I know that I have to make myself wake up.

I use software called a screen reader to access the computer and the internet. I used to use one called Window-Eyes, but here lately I use Nonvisual Desktop Access because it is free and open source, and it works just as well. When I am dreaming, I see things in full color, and if there were some way to correct my blindness, I am almost positive I would already know colors, or at least the basic ones that you see almost everyday.

Oh really.. You're cool coz being blind can't stop you from using the computer and the internet. I didn't even know that there are softwares (and/or gadgets) that blind people may use so they can do anything what they want on the computer. am still hoping that your blindness will be corrected soon. Happy mylotting my friend! =)

You're welcome cloudkicker. YOu know, while I'm in a dream and I'm in trouble, there's this something that will tell me that everything is not real, and that's the time I can end the story the way I wanted it to be. Specially if, while in a dream, I'm being haunted by a ghost or vampire, and felt that it was so true and I'm in real danger, upon realizing that this is just a dream, I'll finish that bad ghost of vampire with some of my magic powers in which I don't know where they came from, then I'll fly away from them. =)
Oh really? If you wanna wake up in your dream you just have to lay down no matter where you are in the dream then go to sleep then you'll wake up instantly? Cool.. I haven't tried this before. I'm gonna try this once I remember this If i'll be in a lucid dreaming again.
But I have this experience, that I wanna wake up in my dream. What happened is I woke up, seeing my own self woke up and sit in the bed (Not realizing that I am still dreaming). And then after that, I woke up. The real wake up. =)

I dream a lot and remember my dreams. I also engage in lucid dreaming, usually in the mornings when I don't have to get up right away. If I like a dream I was having when I wake up, I will go back to sleep and take over. I have written some of my dreams as stories, too. Haven't sold any yet, though. I sometimes wonder if stories like "Alice Through the Looking Glass" (Alice in Wonderland) and "Gulliver's Travels" weren't dreams.

I experienced lucid dreaming sometime. And I think it's interesting, especially the dream is very horible or I was chased by some black men and couldn't find entrance to fleeing.I could realize it was a dream and i knew how serious I was.
How could that happen,so strange!!

this is a good omen. this is very good news for you. this means that you can have control of your fate if only you will will it. your will power will have to be strong enough so that you will be able to wield your future in a way that you want it to become. i know that this is very good news for you because, this has never happened to me before. my dreams were of the opposite. i know that i am dreaming but i cannot control the events therein, no matter how much i try to be able to surmount the task which must be done, i have always failed. yes, i have failed in almost all of my endeavors. but for you, my friend, this is not so...you will be successful in all your endeavors because you have full control of what is bound to happen in your life. good luck and all the good things may come your way.

WOW it's amazing. I don't have many lucid dreams experience. But most of my lucid dreams usually was to solve something and strangely my idea is always work no matter how impossible that idea. It seems everyone accept that idea. Well i don't know if i can control that much such as flying. This is really interesting.
Based in wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucid_dreaming, there are several method to have lucid dreams. I think i'm gonna try it maybe by starting dream diary.;)

Here's my tip if you want to fly in your dreams if you realize while you are dreaming that you are dreaming:
Before you sleep, put in your mind that if you realize in your dreams that you are dreaming, you will try to fly. Just say it in your mind over and over again. Then relax, until you go to sleep. Happy flying! =)

That happens to me often. Realizing than I"m dreaming that is.
I also always start a dream in the "middle of the story " :)
Sometimes I can control what I do or what I choose, other times I'm just looking from outside and can't interfer, but I know that I am dreaming.
And when I am having sleep apnea it always warns me.

There are times when I know I'm dreaming but could not do anything about it. It was only after getting consciousness for a short while (a few seconds) and drifting back to sleep immediately was I able to control my dreams.

I see. Try to remind yourself that when you dream again, and realized that you are in a dream, you can control everything. If one time you dream, and realized that you are in a dream, something will popup in you mind reminding you that you can take control. That's when you can do the controlling. Goodluck!

I can do it, but I don't usually because my dreams don't seem to be as real. I am blind, but when I dream I can see but on the few occasions when I did control my dreams, my ability to see vanished. Also, when I did it I woke up less rested and sort of stressed out. I know that most books and things say the opposite is supposed to happen, but my dreams have always been kind of strange anyway. For one thing, they are usually as in 99% of the time a continuation of the previous dream. It's been that way for as long as I can remember.
