Well, my real name is Johannes Fonce. But my friends call me Hannes or Brandon. I prefer Brandon though, it kinda sounds American, does it?
Anyway, my first name was derived from one of the apostles, John the Baptist. I grew up in Germany. And John is in German Johannes. There are a lot of people who don't pronounce my name right. But that's ok. I don't really mind. That is why i try to teach them how to pronounce it correctly. My dad's name is Ponciano, a real Filipino name. His nickname is Ponce. As a matter of fact, everybody calls him that way, from friends, neighbors to other relatives. My mom decided to change the P to a F instead. And that is how i got my name. =)

well my name is Scarlet..my mother loved the color red and used to dress me in nothing but red since I was born (she did that for about 9 years)...I do believe she got my name from either the bible (which from what I was told was a negative name for a woman) or "gone with the wind"...my mother's words exactly were "I gave you the name Scarlet so you can grow up to be different..I gave you the middle name Adrienne just for entertainment purposes..just to see how people would spell it"

my real name is Diamond, my mom and dad just wanted that to be my name. I have asked them why they picked that as my name, they just told me is beautiful and diamond is precious gemstone. The word Diamond is derived from the Greek "adamas," meaning "invincible," referring to the stone's extreme hardness.

I was named after a friend of my mothers. She liked it and thought it was unique. Even today I rarely hear of anyone with the name Jolene

my real name is suriawati. it was given by my dad. Suria means "Surya", it's indonesian that means sun, n the "wati" behind it, was taken from the first president's sister "megawati".
I think they want me to be as bright as the sun can be, as cheer as the sun can be, and as succes as megawati - she is the first woman who became president in indonesia.

my real name is kaila milos. people think that milos is my surname because it is not a common name here in the Philippines. my initials K.M were from an activist anti-government here back in the 70's. my first name kaila is from a song that was quite famous here when i was born. the song was called "kailan" (literally meaning 'when' for those who aren't from the Philippines.) and milos is a Russian word which unfortunately i don't know what it meant

Wow, beautiful name beauty!
For me, my aunt gave my name. My name is rejoice. When I ask my aunt why she gave me that name, she just answered because she always like rejoicing, that's why I had that name! But sad to say, I am not always rejoicing...LOL

My name is Cecille Carmela and my name was given by my mom.
'Cecille' was taken from my patron saint, St. Cecilia, in which her feast day falls on my birthday, November 22. While 'Carmela' is taken from the name of the church where my mom usually go when she still a pregnant. The church is Our Lady of Mt. Carmen :)
