Problem with Itunes

For a few weeks I got this problem with Itunes. I'm sure how to solve it, or if anyone else encounters it.
Sometimes when my song ends and goes to a new song, my pc kinda freezes. Sometimes it's just for a few seconds, sometimes I don't have it at all. But every now and then it's even longer. It takes me a few minutes to get to my taskmanager, and see that Itunes uses about 90% of the CPU. It is kinda annoying to have to restart Itunes every 10 songs or something.
Is there anyone who has the same problem or know how to solve it?

hmm.. you can always update your version of iTunes to the most recent release: bug-fixed and stable version, not beta
or
try running a registry cleaner/optimizer like Registry Mechanic v6.0+ (..i've tried it before on other similar issue)

I have the latest version already. I think I will try the program you mentioned and see if it helps.
