I do not normally look at the rating maybe once a week as to me it means more what I mean to my Friends
But today just out of Interest I checked a few Friends Ratings and I checked mine
Now this morning I was 98/100 and this afternoon I was 97/100
We still have People on here that are clicking the minus Button for fun I guess
I noticed also with my Friends that this happens
Why do we have those People on here?
What harm have we done to those People?
I mean we do not go around clicking People on minus just to be spiteful so why do they do it?
I hope this does not get deleted and I do not expect any replies in case it does as I do not want anyone to loose Points
I just want to know why People do it, I mean can anyone who does please tell me why they are doing it

Gabs I don't care what your rating is to others to me it is 150 out of 100....You are the best.!! I know there are some nasty spirited people here that out of jealousy or just plain nastiness they do this.I wonder what their rating are.I bet they are low..What comes around goes around...just keep being yourself..They ones who love you don't care what your star says...

Well, I don't care if I lose one response in saying... three guesses who that might be hitting the minus button?
I hope you don't continue to have this problem Gabs, as I enjoy your discussions. They're true to life and not fabricated and we can all relate to them.
Brightest Blessings for happy and carefree future postings, my dear friend. x

I agree with cremecheese. The minus button is not really necessary. We can always report to the site if an answer or post is offensive. A much better option because we have to specify why we consider it abusive, etc.
Don´t worry about it, gabs. Your posts are down to earth and related to everyday life and your responses show that you always carefully read what the discussion is about.
Keep up the good work.
P.s. For me it would be better if the site removed the - button. It´s not doing us any good.
Love + Dana

Gabs I for one have accidently pushed the negative button instead of the positve button by mistake. I felt so bad when I cought it. There may have been times when I have not cought it and done it by accident.
I do not know how to check my ratings can you tell me?
I hope you are safe and Gissi is fine also. Are the elephants still upstairs?

Well, perhaps they are just clumsy and hit the minus by accident, or maybe, not being insulting, but maybe they do not realise that they are giving a bad mark.
They may also be just jealous, Tinkerbell. Try to stop all that jumping up and down, old bean, it isn't doing your hip any good.
Just keep posting and allowing your friends to enjoy your wonderful writing and ignore the misery beggars!

Well, when you come over here you can stamp to your little heart's content, flattening our patio for us, and we will even provide cute little hobnail boots (hee hee Myloters, think of the photos . . .)

hi gabs,
i can relate tothat totally. i have had my score going down to 89 from 97 within a single day!! it really hurts. myLot reverted me with a reply that this is mostly due to negative rating. now, who's doing it? its tough. only recently i marked someone negative only by mistake and the next moment i went onto mark him postive in a few of his posts, just to make it up. the guilt still remains though.
i feel, let's not be vindictive and spiteful and make this place a friendly one.
thanx

Dropping a lot is not by accident. We all know that there are some on her that get their jollies from drive-by minuses. I don't rely to heavily on the star rating. I never even look unless it is mentioned. Do not worry gabs, all of know what # our friends deserve.

Hi Gabs. Well I remember once reading here that some people Neg rated those with a high rating here just out of jealousy! To me that sounds so stupid and petty, but sadly this word is full of bitter individuals in all walks of life, who resent anyone who is prettier, wealthier, more successful, happier than them in whatever field, so that kind of bitterness here wouldn't suprise me. I rarely look at my number myself - to me all that matters is that my friends respect me and my opinions - and if some idiot wants to Neg rate me just because I am a "10" it is too petty for me to bother about!
Have a nice rest of your day.

"Sigh", this is something that I don't understand either, gabs. I do not have the time to go on rating negative to anyone else here. Every posters who replied to my threads will automatically earned positive rating from me.
I have some few friends moaning about their star rating too. I will go through their discussions and gave them hundred pluses. But I was perplexed to see that their rating dropped another point the following day. Its quite obvious that someone was giving them that dreaded negative rating. It seems easier to pull down your rating rather than raising it up.
I remember once that I was real upset when my star had dropped from 10 to 9. But I stop giving so much attention with it anymore. I'm not even checking what my overall rating is.

I do not rule out the possibility that this discussion might be deleted. I am taking the risk to respond. May I suggest that you review back on your responses and see if you can identify anything that gives you some clue as to where the negative rating come from. It could be from deleted discussions, friends whom you have unwittingly "offended" or simply some stray deliquents having fun putting people down.

I believe they get a kick out giving (-).I feel everybody is entitled to giving an opinion and starting or responding to whatever topics they like if its not abusive.I think those stars are in the way anyway because some people just dont know how to act, giving people (-)just because. For what? Can't even give a reason.Dont even worry about your rating, you know you have friends here that thinks of you more than what your rating says.If I loose points oh well, it was well worth it!lol take care

Gabs I dont look at mine very often. As the ratings are based on a percentage, for you to lose 1% it would take 8.93 (say 9%) which means you had to have had 9 negative ratings. I am sorry it happened but it has happened to me so often it goes up and down like a yoyo so as there are so many other things that I think are unfair I don't add to my disappointments by watching it.

i agree to all of them, its annoyent. it seems to be a hobby here and what i saw is, there are lots who are very jealous. i think the minus rating should go, we can always report the bad ones if its needed. it seems there is a lot of childish behavior here since a few weeks.
i just found out i got down to 95 too.
