Good Evening Arysmom, I know all to well what you mean about the first 3 to 4 hours in the morning being stiff and sore:( there are morning I wish I had never went to bed cause I hurt so much worst than when I went to bed!
there is no way I could take a typing test in that time! cause my hands are usually swelled so that it is everything I can do just to hold my coffee! so I usually just sit in my recliner and watch tv till I can move:)

You both do better than I can do even at my top speed. I can barely manage 30 WPM.
I have FM and I also have Connective Tissue Disease.
Stiff for 3 to 4 hours in the AM? I'd go see the Rheumatologist again. That length of time is more than FM...it's arthritic. They aren't the same at all, you know.
1 to 1 1/2 hours, then the stiffness eases (but the pain doesn't) is more characterisitic of FM only.
