Ashes In Space - Have You Heard Of This?

I watched a program yesterday about a group of people who sent their loved one's ashes to space. The people who participated placed thier loved one's ashes inside a capsule that was rocketed into outer space.
Have you heard of this method of scattering someone's ashes?
Would you consider doing this? Do you know someone who wanted to be cremated? What did the family do with the ashes?

I have not heard of this. I suppose it is a good way to bid farewell to astronauts though. I wouldn't consider doing this is is probably very costly too.

I don't know the cost sjohnson but I would think it's expensive.
