Why some sea is of blue colour and other green?

I dun have much knowledge about Sea and sea water colour.In my country when you watch sea its of blue colour...but my cousins abroad told me that there in Australia or Singapore the colour of sea is green.I am eager to know the logic behind different colors of sea in different locantions of world.Do you know the reason behind or have you think over it?
