Oprah endorses political candidate!

I honestly don't believe it will decide the election, but I believe that there will be a lot more people paying attention to his views and stances because of Oprah's backing. You can't forget, millions of people go out and read books just because she recommends them... I know a presidential candidate is not a book, but it's just amazing to me the span of influence that an individual can have. People respect her opinions, like you said, and it would probably guide more people into looking into his views and his beliefs before making a decision. This won't get him elected, or have people spurn her and Obama, but it could have an effect that will be felt by some of the candidates.

Of all the issues involving Oprah before (including that infamous statements she said that hurt the cattle industry) I don't think this endorsement will make a difference. American people are intelligent, I'm sure, and they will vote for the candidate not solely because he or she was endorsed by someone popular. Oprah is also a voter so her endorsement is just a manifestation of her right as a citizen.
