for a couple years now if I can get a pet.
He doesn't want the responsibility the added expenses or the mess that they make (like hair shedding or chewing on things and "accidents" in the house etc.)
He told me I have enough "pets." We have Sam (the neighbors dog) WE have deer that regularly visit and a fox den at the end of our driveway.
I love pulling in the driveway at night because we are so excluded for the hustle and bustle of the real world.
That is always when we see the fox. And since I live in the Adirondacks we have bear and bats and also mice snakes.
So he says that's all the pets we need.
Any way back to the topic. Sam our neighbors dog has been a regular visitor to our home.
He use to come here faithfully every Sunday. We would give him a couple slices of cheese as a treat. Have him do a few tricks for us.
Well we haven't seen Sam in about 3 weeks and yesterday we started to get a little concerned. One of our other neighbors stopped by to visit us and we asked him
if he had seen Sam. It was then he told us that someone poisoned him and he died! We were heartbroken
I guess they did an autopsy on him and they found anti-freeze and chicken in his system.
Now me trying to be rational and not wanting to accept our adopted pet is gone I am thinking maybe
her wasn't intentionally poisoned. But then on the other hand we have some very destructive characters around my home. One even burned down a church here in town! I will greatly miss Sam I have attached a photo of him.
Can you believe that there are actually people in this world that hate animals enough to kill them? I just can't grasp this concept.
Any feed back is appreciated here. Thanks!

I can't even imagine losing a pet by poisoning. I have heard of that before but never knew anyone who had dealt with it. I am so sorry for the loss of a very innocent life. I am sure he will be missed. I don't know what kind of person could do that.

I know he was so sweet and innocent and trusted every body. That may have been his downfall if the poisoning was intentional.

Maybe the pet wasn't necessarily poisoned. Some car might have been leaking anti freeze and Sam maybe found it and drank out of it. You never know. But if someone did poison Sam that is really cruel!

That's kind of what I am wanting to believe here. Thanks for responding!
