Moms, what are the differences in boys and girls that you have noticed, especially if you have one of each. My daughter is so calm and easy...son is high energy, and much more independent. I wonder if it is just a difference in personality or if it is a boy v/s girl thing.

It's personality all the way...lol. I have a boy and girl. They are both very high energy children. My daughter is very bossy and clingy, wants everything her way right then. My son gets his feelings hurt very easily. They are both risk takers..her more than him though. He climbed over the baby gate before he could walk and blacked his eyes. She started climbing furniture, out of her crib, jumping off stuff when she was about 10-11 months. She has never climbed over the baby gate thank goodness. She is also a more high maintenance child than my son. I can tell him to go to bed and off he goes. She has to be made to go to bed and still wakes up in the middle of the night wanting us.

hi, i have a little boy who is 3 mo. i find that he is just a little ball of energy all though out the day. he does not even like to take naps anymore. he is also determined to get out on his on with trying to walk before he learns to crawl. I also have a 2 year old niece that is pretty much the same way. she has always been hyper and never wanted any help or wants help doing anything.

Definatly. When I got pregnant with my son everyone told me it was going to be different. Boys are mama's boys and so on. I was like no way I will discipline him just the same, treat him the same and he will be fine. Boy was I wrong. My oldest daughter is so smart, very independent, and we talk about everything I do feel like I am her best friend but her mom at the same time and I hope it continues as she gets older. My son oh lordy he is so wild, and crazy. He likes to jump around, so boyish and my baby but he is best friends with my husband they are buddies. My youngest is a girl and man she is so calm and so good. She does have her spoiled moments but she is so good and quiet in bed every nite by 9 pm and out for the night.

I have 3 of each and they're all different. Energy level isn't really connected to gender IMO-I have a high energy girl. Boys have a different type of energy, though, IMO. My second dd can be pretty hyperactive, but my boys are risk takers. They were jumping off furniture before they could walk.
