I lost my dad Feb 18th, and I'm still not sure how to grieve. I don't know how I feel, or how to act. I still don't feel like I can talk about it, or talk to him. I get mad when I think about it sometimes, I feel like a time bomb. I know that there has to be someone out there that knows how I feel, can you help me? Tell me how you grieve?

Everyone deals with grief in their own way. Don't feel badly that you are not grieving the same way someone else has done in the past. Sometimes it takes a while for your emotions to "settle down". You might find that you don't shed a tear for 6 months and then an episode of Spongebob Squarepants will have you crying your eyes out. Don't stress about it too much. It just takes time to heal. This may sound like a dumb idea but getting some physical exercise (even walking) will help you. Sometimes a physical release will trigger an emotional release. Best wishes to you and please accept my deepest sympathy. It is never easy to lose a parent.

Thank you for your response. I do cry about him... But I try to hold it back because I do feel like when I start I'll never stop. But thank you. Wonderful response.

I lost my mother over 10 years ago and I still grieve over the loss. But there are ways and support to help you. Check into your local church. They are always a great source for most any kind of help. ALSO CALL YOUR LOCAL HOSPITAL(S) AS THEY HAVE MEETINGS MOST EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK FOR THIS. i WAS IN A COUPLE SUPPORT GROUPS TILL i COULD HANDLE IT ALONE. bEING WITH OTHERS WHOM LOST A LOVED ONE CAN RELATE THEIR FEELINGS ETC WITH YOU. iT WOULD BE A GOOD THING. gOOD LUCK & gOD BLESS.
happy postings from grandpa bob !!~
