---I see it everywhere, its on cups, on shirts, in crafts like quilting and cross stitch. Its in decorations... its everywhere.
--- personally I won't want a patriotic wall hanging stuck on my wall. If it was a gift I would lose it in the basement and retrieve it when the guests were to visit.

The wonderful thing about living in this Patriotic Country is that you don't have to have that on your wall if you don't want to. There is a lot in the stores right now bc we will soon have the 4th of July. That is a big day in America. Most of us want all that red, white & blue stuff. I do understand what you mean though. I live in Packer country. I get very sick of the green & gold during football. It is every where you look.

If your doing it because your patriotic that's one thing. If your doing it because it's trendy then it's just wrong. I have a few things. I have a support the troups sticker on my van. I have or rather had a small flag I put out on some hollidays. but I don't go over board with it. Doing that just seems tacky and showy to me.

It's a way for someone else to make money, that's all. We pay someone else for their wares and they sell it so they can get money. Simple as that. Using the patriotic angle just is a way to get into someone elses head and pretty much guilt them into buying it. Kinda like religion. Pimpin' god...there's a lot of money in it.

I'm Canadian and I love my country. I'm very patriotic but I don't have a lot of memorbilia. I have 2 little flag pins that I stick on my luggage when I travel as I find people are friendlier if they know that I am Canadian (sorry to all of you Americans out there). Otherwise, I don't have Canadian memorabilia. Its not that I dislike it or anything.
I think some people really are proud of their country and where they came from.
