Today I dont know what it was but hte kids were out of control. They were loud ill mannered little snots today. I can usually deal with it but today I let them have it. I asked them time and time again to keep it down. So I turned the lights out on them they were still monsters. Then I stopped helping them. That got their attention. I could hear them saying man she's never like this whats up. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH All I can say is that we have 16 days of school left. I cant wait to get out of there. I bet it's gonna be a full moon tonight I just hope it goes really fast.

Wow. Now I have heard of this kind of behavior in daycare, but an actual school? Is it a private school or a public school and what grade do you work with?
You would think if they were that bad the school staff would get you maybe an aid or something to help out or at least until you can get the class under control.
I sure wouldn't want my kid in a classroom that out of control.
Good luck though and maybe demand some help, go to the principal for advice about this. Maybe they can help in some way? I mean it sounds like the class needs a new schedule and new rules and they need to know that you are not going to let them walk all over you anymore. And maybe another helping hand like an aid can help when it gets out of control.

I know there can be days like that !! I get it in my profession too. Seems like certain days are worse than others. I know at the end of the year the kiddies get "crazy" Ours were supposed to get out at the end of May but we had a few snow days and it's extended to the first week of June. You should have heard the kids!! My boys were acting like it's the end of the world.

You work in the cafeteria right? LOL I feel for you. I call my students who come to my classroom after lunch the "after lunch bunch." They are twice as loud as my morning class and take twice as long to settle down and pay attention. Of course, the closer we get to June the more unfocused they are!! I think anyone who works in the school knows that we need our summers off to recuperate!

sounds like your school doesn't have very good disciplinary policy. this crap doesn't even happen at our school. it's not tolerated and it's a public/charter school. it comes from the top down. sounds like your principal needs to become an enforcer and not let the kids get away w/ this nonsense. it's not a small school either, 1400 kids.

We have 1500 so we both have big schools. OUr principals sit in the hallway and watch them act up. They do nothing but sit there and eat free food. I am hoping they will act better today if not I plan on asking where is the help then 2nd grade is here? That is awesome that you school is on top of things! Hey welcome to my lor....wanna be my friend?
