Citgo advertisements

All of a sudden I'm hearing ads for Citgo gas. The ads talk about how wonderful this company is, all the humanitarian things they have done. They are owned by Venezuela whose president hates America. What gives? More propaganda against the U.S. and American companies are running these ads? What do you think? I don't buy Citgo because I will not fund enemies of my country.

I have no idea. I have heard there is plenty of gas in the United States, but it is on protected land, protected for the birds and animals and the trees, and any engineer can find ways to get the gas out without endangering the wild life, so the United States has to get gas from Citgo to help the poor people. So in other words, this Venezuelan president and the nature lover environmentalists are using the poor as a pawn. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I don't buy Citgo gas either. I don't find it as inexpensive as some & I really don't want to support that maniac in Venezuela!

I think many Venezuelans would agree with you; they are wondering why the country is providing low-cost gas and heating oil to Americans when there are so many poor people in Venezuela. Of course, if the U.S. had better programs to assist low-income Americans with energy costs, Chavez wouldn't be able to make an issue of this.
