Is anyone else having trouble with HP computers have hard drive failures? I've had two failures in 3 months now that the computers have turned 2 years old.

I had a Gateway laptop that went through three hard drives in eight months before I got it replaced under the CA Lemon Law with a Toshiba. Very sorry to hear about your problem. A tremendous inconvenience to be sure! If you have the money, and would like some insurance against total data loss, I'd suggest that you invest in an external hard drive and a copy of Acronis True Image. It's extremely easy to use; I figured it out without even looking at a help file. Since then, I've never looked back at Norton Ghost. With Acronis and an external HDD, you can restore your entire operating system, all your programs, and the whole caboodle. Having an external drive also makes it easy to transfer the image to optical discs, to save you money on long-term storage. Hope this helps you!

I'm sorry to hear it. There are too many reasons to result in harddriver failures. I think, firstly you should backup your data at soon as you can. Then scan your harddriver with your antivirus software. Next checking your harddisk. If all of them is OK, I think the disk should be replaced.
