Yes they are. They are so fit to play. They have not lost a match for 3 world cups consecutively.

i think Newzeland is the best team today in the world because they have good allrounders, good batsman, good bollwer and also a very good and intelogent captain. so i prefer Newzeleand.

well with the way australia has been playing they deserve to be the number one team in the world, but ithink other teams need to improve there abilities if they are to challenge australia for that number one slot.

Surely Aussies are the best. Even the mighty team of Clive Lloyad didn't have this kind of hold in ODI cricket. Such an unbeatable winning streak in 3 world cups is amazing and also don't forget they reached four consecutive world cup finals and won 3 of them. No other team won 3 finals in a row. And of course they also won the ICC Championship which you can call mini world cup.

why not ..i can't see any reason why they are not clled best team in the world. Its not about their winning in this world cup but their domination on all the cricket playing country in last decade made them world champ...

At the moment and for the last few years you would have to say they are. The have such self belief and great depth in their squad. Sure occasionaly they will suffer a loss or two (see New Zealand wining the Chappell Hadlee Series) but they always bounce back as they did at the world cup. The rest of the cricketing nations need to change what they are doing to try and close the gap. Cricket needs countries to be competitive not totally dominant as Aussie are.

Australia for sure, is there still any doubt about it. They've beaten other teams hands down in this world cup, be it on the field or in mind games. Australia have shown why they are the best, thats coz of their superior domestic cricket structure. They've become so used to winning that even the thought of losing doesn't come in their mind when they play a attacking shot or bowl with aggression. So one has to say other teams have a lot of work to do if any team has to match Aussies in future.
