They are great musicians and they are from Omaha Nebraska if I am correct. Right down the interstate from me. I don't listen to them much outside of Christmas though because I don't have any of their CD's, records or tapes.

You ought to treat yourself to some of their other works! I have enjoyed so many of them and they don't get "old" like some works do. And yes, Chip Davis, the organizer of M/S, is from your neck of the woods. I still love the first work I ever heard from him. Does the song "Convoy" ring a bell? Yep. Chip scored that entire movie.

Never heard of them.
I hate the gap which doesn't allow me to take interest with my friends here. if they sing Christmas carols then I probably could also listen to them all year :)

I love the Fresh Aire series! 1-8. They're all good. I hope the tour comes around again soon!

Yes I do enjoy Mannheim Steamroller besides during the holidays. You are right, they are soothing and I like their harmony.

I have to admit I'm not a fan. Maybe I am too much of a purist, but I don't like the popuarized classical music thing they do. I can handle their xmas music. I really dislike the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and those two groups have been compared to each other in the past. I think Mannheim has more class, but I guess I really prefer the original pieces to their modernized versions.
