How were you raised?

I came from a broken home, I was raised by my grandma,feeling envious to the family with parents intact. My grandma provided me and my siblings a good life, trying to cope up what is missing..I was raised with honor's in school, I am God-Fearing as well. Now, that I am a mom, I wanted my child to know what I've been through, so, she can realize.. how lucky she was today..

I was raised to treat everyone equal and be kind. I was told that no matter what you will always meet someone new and if you don't like them at least respect them. I also was told no matter what I can do whatever I want, but it is going to be hard sometimes. I think that that particular lesson helped me grow up.

I come from a family of ten. We were taught to take the responsibility of helping to clean up. Also sharing in a family of this size is a must. We learned how to be nice to other people and smile when coming upon someone on the street. Also to say hi. We were taught that there is never any reason to lie or steal. My mom had a favorite thing she would tell us kids. That is telling the truth doesn't mean you won't get in trouble. Not telling the truth when you are found out will mean you will be in a heap big load of trouble. These are values that are carried with me today and they are all instilled in me due to my mom.
