Well a diamond could never be to big but if it looks okey or gauldy then it is a bit much but if you can't see it with the naked eye or have to put it up to your face to see it then that is definitely too small. 2 karats is the average exceptable diamond size.

Well that would be a sign of true love and everytime she look at it she'll think of you and it will help her forget when she's mad at you and it will make her the envy of all her friends. All this counts in your favor and starts the marriage off on a high note.

I personally think it depends on the girl. I have a friend who is about to propose to his gf and she said anything smaller than 2 carats is way too small (I think she is being a spoiled umm Brat). Another friend is engaged and hers is 1/2 carat and anothers is 1 carat. I would say anything less than 1/2 carat is too small. Good luck.

I think maby take your girl to the mall and just wonder into the jewelry store and get an idea from her, there is nothing like getting a ring you do not like. My husband proposed and than we went shopping for the ring and im glad we did because that way i got to pck it out myself and it wasnt to big or to small. there are lots of romantic ways of proposing with out the ring ,but as i dont know your partner its hard to say what she would be happy with.

Hi listen2me, I honestly think and feel that the decision is yours. Whatever style you like best, and are comfortable spending. If you over spend and get yourself into debt she will feel like crap, and if you get someone else to pick it out then the sentimental value won't be there. Those are just my thoughts anyhow. My hubby picked out my ring himself, and it was within his price range. For those 2 reasons I love the ring that much more. He did a great job picking it out, very tasteful!

I would suggest you I don't know if you want big one to show your feelings through it but if Someone is going to select ring for me for such a special ring I would select which ever looks better on my fingers and which ever is most delicate and shiny.I think You should select accordingly by th structure of the fingure If you get too big and person's fingure are so thin and delicate it would look odd.So this is how i would select a ring for me. Good luck
