Ipods....do you have one?

I would not say they are a "must" have item at all but yes it does seem that a lot of people do have them for everyday use. I do not, but then I cannot stand noises directly into my ears either, which probably explains why. Our son got one before he went overseas last time, and recorded all his music onto it but it was stolen from one place where he was staying. Most annoying, and even though he did get it cheap as part of a package deal when he got the computer, it still cost a lot of money. So he survived the rest of the time he was away without it, although he did say that he missed having one when he was moving around. Also he had recorded a lot of true blue Aussie music on it, which he probably missed more than the iPod itself. LOL This time around he has just bought a new laptop computer, and has loaded all the songs onto it. I would say they could be a great thing if you want to shut out noise and don't mind noise directly into your ears. If you do go walking, then they could help you in that direction. I don't have one, but have been wanting one really bad. I just am trying to get out of debt so I am holding off on this expense. I have friends who have some but I don't know the brand. I will have to check and post back.

I think I am the last person on the planet to understand ipods. I don't have one and don't think I need one. I guess when out walking it would be nice but I also enjoy silence. I like to walk and think things through. I do the same in my car, I often have music on, but I also like to not have it on. I think people these days (I sound old lol) need too much stimulation or they think they are bored. If they took the time to enjoy the silence they might be a bit happier.

well I wouldn't say it is a 'must' but I have one and I love it :) Most of the time I'm alone in my office at work and I don't have phones to answer so I have my iPod connected to my my PC and listen to my music through iTunes. I also use it going to and from work. At home we have a stereo system specifically for the iPod so you can just connect the iPod to it and play all the songs from your collection on it. It is so handy to not have to worry about changing CD's or anything, and the sound quality is really good! But you should be able to connect your iPod to most any stereo with the right cables :) So I would definitely recommend them, plus they have come down quite a bit in price now, I paid $500 for my 30g one, and there are now around $380

i have an ipod caramello and they are great and i suppose i couldnt live without it and i take it everywhere. i would definetly recommend ipods to everybody

my hubby has one, he likes it when he works out. i don't i'm always home so i feel if i want to listen to music i'll just put my computer on and listen to my downloaded music. but my 7 yr. old wants one. idk if i want to get him one, i don't think he needs it, he only listens to music when we're in the car.

No I don't, but a friend of mine (well work aquaintance)does and he has 360+ songs on it and it is not even 1/2 full!! He listens to it when he rides his bike and motor bike!

My son got me an IPOD NANO for my 50th birthday! He knew that I was spending a great deal of time in the garage working out on various exercise equipment and hated to try to keep changing the CDs on an old CD player that I took out there! I have enjoyed the IPOD a great deal....although my kids are having to help me! I also use it when I go walking.

i wish i was..lol. i take the train everyday to work and sometimes it would be nice to listen to some music. i would love to have an ipod nano, been thinking of getting it for a looooong time, but i still have yet to do so. ipod's are very costly where i live so i cannot afford it T_T ..perhaps someday..
