Would you spend a month of solitude in a beautiful natural setting? Food and shelter would be provided but you would not see another person.

i could do this if i also had a lot of books...i would also like to have a computer to write with...for many writers this would be heaven! to be able to write and not get interrupted by the day to day chores of life! :-)

I believe I would!!! It would be lonely but maybe good for meditation and re-centering oneself...If I could read and walk and be safe I would do it for sure...I would miss my family so much but would just appreciate them more when I returned!! Time alone can be a valuable asset. It can give you new perspective on situations and plans and also provide you with time to really become acquainted with yourself...something we don't take the time to do much in this hurried, busy world where we are available at every minute with our technology. It might just turn out to be the best thing for many things that ail us mentally and physically!!! I'm ready to sign up!!!!

I could very easily live like this indefinately if I didn't have kids, but fortunately I have a daughter, son-in-law and two of the most beautiful grandchildren God has given anyone and NO I couldn't be a month without seeing their little faces and hearing everyones voice.

I'm sure there are days when my hubby would like to see me spend a month in solitude but no way would it happen. LOL There are a handful of people I could never go a day without talking to. My mom, my hubby, my 2 kids and my best friend. Now if they could come to my island...Im so there! Would be a nice treat to get away from the stres of everyday life.

Maybe a week - if I had at least some of my cats. I'm not much of a cook either - hope you don't think I'd be cooking over a fire - it'd be out the first day! TV dinners don't work for me either - can you tell I'm a practial one? You leave me in a place with strangers - I'd be talking to them! So I'd have to worry about such niceities like food.... LOL

Hi OURDEW, hope all is well. Oh this is a tough question. Could I bring my purple teddy bear? LoL. I mean yes I would love to get away for one whole month with not another person in sight. But my daughter is only 11 months and she needs me so I guess I will have to say no *sighz*. I don't know if I could be away from the hubby for that long either, I would miss him terribly. Would you do it?

I couldn't do it either if I had a small child. I would like to be away for a month, maybe I would be appreciated more when I came back. LOL. I'm not sure If I could really be gone that long, I would miss my family tooo much.

Done this along time ago though only for a couple weeks. I put up my tent on a coconut plantation beside a river where my nearest neighbor is about a 100 meter over the next hill. Brought along my provisions, cook my own food, listen only to the running waters of the river, wind blowing the leaves of the trees and the humming of the birds and insects. My only source of light at night is my bonfire. And I tell you it is most rewarding. Every one should ought to be attune to ones self and nature from time to time. I wouldn't mind doing it again for a month just as long as i could bing along my laptop to catch up with you guys myLot ratings... he he he.

I would love to do that I could find so many things to do by myself. Exploring and taking pictures and just relaxing in the sun Yeah I could definately handle that:)
