It is summer here in Kerala, still it is raining here. The summer showers. We in Kerala get very good rain. From June to mid October it is the rainy season here. Since we have a very long rainy season we have more than one umbrella in each house. In most houses every individual has an umbrella. Even those who travel by car keep their umbrella in the car.
Do you have plenty of rain in your country?
Do you use umbrellas or only rain coats?
Usually do you have umbrellas in your household?
Do you keep an umbrella in your car in rainy season?
Please participate in this discussion and supply your answers. Thank you.

Hi!
I am from Hungary. It rains in every season here. But usually it is impossible to know when it will be raining. This week is rainy, but it is different in each year. I have an umbrella in my flat, and also in my office for any case.
We hold a huge umbrella in our family car too.
Usually the meteorologists can suppose only if it will be raining on the given day, but they are not sure...
This week was very silly. It was raining each day of the week for a few moments. But it was quite warm weather. So we have to carry that f.king umbrella, because we can never know when it will be raining, or how strong. The last weekend there were ice worms in the country and much rain, that caused many problems everywhere.
The national agriculture has problems in each year. Once they are praying for some rain, then they are praying for finishing raining...

It means that icedrops are falling from the sky. Sometimes the ice-drops can be as big as the eggs. You can imagine what damage can it cause in everything.

We don't have that much rain here in Australia at the moment, but we do have a few brollies tucked away in the house somewhere.
I dislike umbrellas - they get in the way when you use them and other peoples umbrellas always seem to poke you in the head! I don't tend to use them much for this reason and I don't even own a raincoat - I like rain, I don't mind getting wet! lol

It doesn't really rain too much where we live but we do have a single umbrella in the house which is lying unused.

I have an umbrella that I normally keep in the car. It always seems to be in the car when I need it at work instead of inside with me. I forget it unless it is raining when I get to work. We get a good bit of rain here but do not have anything we consider the rainy season.

We get a lot of rain here in ireland, all year round. I is raining today, in fact, and it rained yesterday, too.
We have no umbrellas , because like the rain, we also get a lot of wind and they umbrellas ge bent out of shape and broken. We use waterproof coats and hats, instead.

I keep a 3 fold umbrella in my wadrobe. If there is any forecast of rainfalls, i always carry the umbrella in my bag only if i am with my family.
But if i am on my bike, i prefer to get drenched in rain. Its a wonderfull thing. Its gives you escatatic delight.
If you dont like the idea, just once get wet in rain and you will say "This is life."
Thats why i like the rain and mostly the moonsoons from my childhood.

Well I live in England, so I guess you can say every day is rainy season here! I actually like it - the rain keeps the grass so beautiful and green, it feeds the wild flowers and blossoms, and it means my country is never dry and parched. But it also means I NEVER leave home without an umbrella - even in the middle f Summer I always have a small, fold-up umbrella in my handbag, because the weather here can look bright and sunny in the morning, but cloud over and rain by lunchtime!

Kerala is the southern most state in peninsular India. We have a very balanced weather.January to March - a short winter, March to May - Summer, June to August - Manzoon (rainy), Mid Sept. through Oct. - another rainy season, and Nov. to January - winter. OK friend, thank you.

Definitely. Kerala is one of the place in the world where southwest monsoon is very active during the months of Jun, July, Aug and Sep. It is a necessity here to have atleast one umbrella to everyone in the household.
The best thing here is the rain and the spring season. they both are enjoyable as the snowfall season in srinagar.
