I used Norton 4 years back. But it slows down the system. That's why I stopped using it. Now I use the Avast 4 Home Edition. I also used AVG antivirus, and tried the nod32. All of them works fine. I didn't try Kaspersky PC antivirus, but I used that on my mobile phone. It worked well.

Norton is the best. I am using it for years. No problem at all with virus if you keep it update everytime. No other antivirus have such a long variety of antivirus included in it. The best part of norton is it updates itself with recent viruses developed and downloads the necessary antivirus files without disturbing you.

Hi! it's just lately when my husband discovered that kaspersky is much better than norton, though norton is very much reliable source of anti virus because its been a long time since norton discovered, but according to my husband kaspersky is now the most in demand anti virus, well if i am you i will still choose norton, norton is easy to install and easy to update in the internet..
but if you confused what to do try to search in the internet for norton and kaspersky and try to compare its capabilities according to their discription..

If you don't mind paying for antivirus software (and I'm assuming you don't), Kaspersky would probably be the best. It and CyberDefender are the fastest ones to update, and Kaspersky still offers the ability to create rescue disks, in case a virus manages to cripple your system before the antivirus can stop it.
If you want something that's free, I'd recommend either CyberDefenderFREE or AOL Safety and Security Center. CyberDefender uses machine analysis to detect new threats within an hour of receiving a sample from you or any other client, so it won't miss much. But it doesn't come with its own firewall, so you'd need to get one elsewhere. Kerio is my recommendation here, as long as it's compatible with your machine.
AOL S&SC is an all-in-one suite, complete with antivirus (McAfee), antispyware(CA PestPatrol), and a competent firewall (McAfee Personal Firewall Express).
