Can you describe a person's personality by just reading his/her written words? Can you tell whether he/she is busybody, lazy, boring, angry, sad, sensitive, joyful, neutral or serious kind of person? I think it is possible that we can know a person personality just by reading and analyzing their writings or how they express themselves in written words. What do you think?

I have that ability to judge a person by his writings, though I know "Not to judge a book by its cover'. It is a special sense.

Hello,ellie26,I think it is possible to know the personality or feeling when you are reading at a person's writing,it will be quite obvious if somone always use some bad words in their writing, they should be rude people,if you can always see some positive opinions from their writings, they should be opitimistic people, what you feel or what type of people you are will be reflected in the writing.

I think that it is possible to pick up on things about someones personality by reading what they write. I think here on myLot it is necessary to read several things and from several days because of the nature of discussions around here. So along those lines, I think it is easy to tell when someone is having a good or bad day by reading several of their responses/discussions from a single day. That is part of what makes myLot enjoyable to me. I like people and I like learning about people.

I agree with you as words are used to describe, so when someone writes they write by how they perceive the situation. So when they write their personality is apparent, you can tell if a person is confident, knowledgable about what they are writing about. Also, how there emotions are when they are writing, I myself have written an angry letter as well as a joyful one.

most of the times..yes...you can describe personality by reading the words but not always.some people are very expressive in their words..while others are not...it depends on the personality if its expressive or bold or sharing...then words would reveal that peronality otherwise you will be mislead by written words

Its preety hard to judge a person through his words because words comes out from the brain and brain knows how to manipulate , sometimes it easy to catch the disguise like the one with not so much of soft skills , but one with soft skills can easily fool others and project agood image even with the darkest of heart.
