Da Vinci Code

The Da Vinci Code is a work of fiction written by Dan Brown. it seems real or "possible" because it uses a number of conspiracy theories along with some fact. and the best lie is the one that has a bit of truth to it right? right! For example..the group Opus Dei really does exist, however according to the Prelature of Opus Dei in the US, the impression of Opus Dei and their actions in the book/movie are completly inaccurate. an example of this in particular is the Monk character (white haired bad guy in film--cant remember the characters name) There are NO monks in Opus Dei. the book/movie are actually very good works of fiction...for they contain just enough facts and truth to make the reader/viewer consider the possibility that what is portrayed could be reality. heres a link to the response the Prelature of Opus Dei gave for The Da Vinci Code. http://www.opusdei.org/art.php?w=32&p=7017

yah it's a book of fiction.. i super love his works, so far i've read digital fortress, da vinci code and deception point.. dan brown's really the best author!!

It is fiction all right. Like many other intentional misdirections ie: "this is the only book that you should read" you know . . the people who try to keep everyone stupid books. Mix in a little fact, stir in three parts complete BS, add a drop of mystery etc. etc. Makes you think though doesn't it? Did you know that Jesus was a Rabbi and that you had to be married to be a Rabbi? I am still looking for the book Jesus wrote. The one he signed "I wrote this, Jesus" I can't imagine, a Teacher and a Rabbi that never wrote anything.

i am not sure whether its true or not!! but its a very well written book!! keeps the reader occupied with the sequences of the story!!! im not against the beliefs of any religion!! but this book was generally a different style to read!! though i m not for whether its true r not!! i liked to read it!!

The story is pure fiction based on facts. the reason it created the controversy maybe due to the fact that the readers believed it to be true. if you ask me, i say it is a very good read, but my faith remains intact.

Well its a fiction mixed fact is what i feel Da vinci code is.. Though many contradictions and not believable, but if its seen as fiction mixed, it can be enjoyed just as a reading!
