yes i shake the hands of people i meet. its a sign of good gesture or ethics and respect for the other person. sometimes i give them a hug, but that's only when they are friend of a friend or friend of my husband. and most of all ask permission first if you can hug them before you hug them. or else they would think its offensive :).

Shaking hands is considered as a standard of greeting a person of any sexes. It is also a way to show a good impression on that person in a any meeting. I do shake hands with people especially those I get to meet in business meetings or other gathering whatsoever.

i suppose it's a common attitude in ur first meeting w/someone.i do the same also.after i bein to know them more i'll kiss their cheeks.
