Students Protest

In our local schools there have been protesting going in to the point that it is silly.
This all started out of the National Day of silence or whatever you call it.
Students who wore shirts with bible scriptures were suspended the students that wore shirts that say I am gay and proud were not or Gay is the only way to be were not suspended from the school.
So the students protested the suspensions and it has gone on 3 weeks to long and certain groups are getting involved and taking it a step to far by going to the school princpals home and his church on SUnday......now the children would not have had the guts to do this however a person who does not live in our area came in and got every one round up and he even called all of the news stations to let them know what time they would be in front of the church and also what time they would be in front of this private home.
I agree to stand up for what you believe in 100% however make sure it is what you believe in and not what others are trying to get you to beleive.
It has gotten to the point now that all fuctions at the school have been cancelled due to the safety of the students.
So in the long run the protestors have won and all of the other students at the school will suffer.

Well in today's age, even though homosexuals like to think they are persecuted for political reasons, it is often the Christians that are singled out in schools and communities because of a backlash against traditional prejudices, thereby creating a new prejudice.
If they had to remove their tshirts, the other tshirts should have been removed as well. There is no legal basis for the way they did it, if the Bible shirts were going to incite violence or distract people, so where the other shirts...

That is so true!
Tonight we were to have open house and it is where all of the sutdents show what they have worked on all year and this students worked so hard getting the school ready for tonight and yesterday it was cancelled due to the safety factor.
The students(who are still protesting are about 5or 6) all the other protestors are ADULTS.. so that is why they have cancelled all functions at the school until further notice.
I do not understand why there is a NAtional Day of tolerance allowed in the schools in the first place..
They can't say god bless america in the schools however they can have a National Day of tolerence???
