public transportation in your country

how is the public transportation in your country? i live in jakarta, indonesia, ana i think public transportation in my country is suck. it's unorder, buses can stop wherever you want (which is lucky for you, the nearer to your top means the less you walk, but it causes a real bad traffic jam), plus public transportation isn't safe inmy country. there are beggars and thieves. The beggars will ask you some of your money by singing or just saying that they really need money, and it's better for them to ask some from us than to rob us. it's a threaten, isn't it? and these people who ask for monye, got a really scary look, if you were here, you would get your nerve down. besides those things, our public transportation which most is not air conditioned, give a real hot suffering air, with people inside it more than its capacity. maybe if you have ever watched some news from indonesia tv station, i bet you must have watched that we could sit on top of the train too, if the seats and the standing area are full. hahaha.. though, it's a nice adventure to get on the public transportation, but give you a real exhausted feeling. how about yours?

tricycle - this is a tricycle but there are other forms of this..
A tricycle is a motorcycle with a side car.. The tricycle has three wheels one in front and two at the back (left and right). The tricycle cana ccomodate up to 6 passengers. The trisikad is a bicycle with a side car had has three wheels also.. one in front and two at the back (left and right). The trisikad can accomodate 3 passengers. From where are you? the fx is the tamaraw fx.. an air conditioned vehicle that can accommodate up to 9 passengers.

im from india..in india,the percent given to good for public transport is 25% and remaining 75% will tell it is worst...for long distance travel,we have super deluxe buses with air conditoning facility..hence it is appreciable..but in the case of short distance travel,it is very nasty and bad..it is compared to hell...it is ok in case of privately owned buses..in the case of government buses,it is more than a hell..we just hate it..i usually travel to my college by bus..i hate government bus..hence i wait for the private bus...especially women suffer a lot..some men touch women in the crowd..they are patiently ignore it..hence in buses in india,front half is for women and back is for men..

maybe it's just the man's nature. In here, the man always whistling or shout "hey girl, hey girl" even they are racist, call the chinese "cina" or "amoy". it's really annoying.

i live in manila...theconditions here is very much the same as yours...as you have described it...but i've been to singapore...kuala lumpur...bangkok...they are much different...i wonder why? one pri,mary reason why these things happen is not about money...its how intelligent people are and how they organize themselves...

i think indonesian is as intelligent as the singaporean or malaysian or thai, but the problem is, they don't use their intelligent to the good thing, they use it for corruption. :o

I am from Bangalore, India. There is no metro rail in this city, adn the public transport mainly consists of city buses. They are chaotic at times and very very crowded in peak hours. And there are frequent cases of small time roberies also happening in this buses.. Fortunately now the government has started work on the metro rail system here. Hope things will imporove after that

Approximately regular, but not very comfortable. With too expensive fees. We have here metro and it`s quite better, but the stations arent too much/ the metro is new/.Next week the drivers here plan to have a general protest because of the low salaries.

I enjoy taking public transportation. First off, gas prices are out of control here in our country, especially in our area where it is the highest prices in the nation. So I don't mind driving less than a mile to the commuter train station to take it to work everyday. I pay $98/month and I get to work 5 days a week on time. There are rarely problems with the train's time schedule and I actually arrive in San Francisco at about the same time as if I actually drove. And parking is terrible in the city, too, so it just pays to take it. It pretty safe and reliable to me, so it works just fine.

Ilive in Lahore, Pakistan. The public transport in my country is also in bizarre and worst condition. Public transpostation is for people's facility but the buses over here just have rules to obey but they don't. The way they drive is also vert dangerous.

China has the most people in the world ,you know. so you can image the public transportation in China. It is common to see a bad traffic jam in the city especially in bigger city such as Beijing,Shanghai and so on.but the different is that although there are so many cars on road , they don't stop anywhere. just in the place appointed.
