Truck Drivers Songs. Do You Like Them? I Think Some Are Very Meaningful.

Are you a country music fan. I am to some of the music not all. I don't care for what my husband calls bluegrass music. There is some that I like a lot. What do you think? Here is some of the songs I like and have you heard them yourself.
1. Giddy-Up-Go
2. Teddy Bear----a very touching song.
3. Convoy
4. Savage
5. Truck Driver's Prayer
6. Little Joe
These are good songs for truckers. My brother-in--law used to be a truck driver and is retired now. He liked these songs and listened to them often. Have any of you all heard these songs are do you know any others that could be classified as truck drivers songs?

I LOVE the song "Roll On" by Alabama. Well, I love just about everything that Alabama sings, but that's just a good one!
Here's the chorus of the song if you don't know it...

That sounds like another good truckers song. I don't believe I have heard that before. My son might have because he liked listening to The Alabama's. Thanks for responding.

I'm only familiar with 2 of these, Convoy and Teddy Bear (your right about that one, I cried the first time I heard it). Afraid I don't know any others, I mostly though each driver listened pretty much to what ever type music they liked best.

I am familiar wti all of the song that you have listed except for Savage. Could you elaberat on it. I have enjoyed most of the trucking song but dont get them where I live now. I miss the good ole country music. But I al so like the blue grass music too. There is "Six Days On The Road", here is a nice list of truckers songs http://www.virtualtruckroute.com/music_3.html

I had the name wrong on the one. It is on the list at the link you posted. It is called CB savage. A lot of the songs on the list I know but there are also some that I don't. Thanks for the link. I have put it in my file here on the computer.

In Brazil there are a lot of song dedicated to truck drivers. And even radios that only play this kind of songs. Sula Miranda is a very popular Truck Drivers song artist in Brazil.
