Tasty Pastry Add a little powdered cinnamon to the flour when making pasty for apple pies. It makes the pastry so much tastier. 2. Give This A Whirl. To get a nearly poached egg, just add a few drops of vinegar to the boiling water and swirl rapidly as you drop in the egg.

I will give this a try kathy77. I love pies of all kinds especially the apple one. Talking about eggs, here is a tip for you: to make scrambled eggs, add a little milk and mix together. This will make your eggs fluffy.

Make sure to drop that egg into the center of the swirl or it will spread out through out the water worse then if you just dropped it into the pot. Better sollution jet is to buy an egg poaching pan or if you have custurd cups place them in the simmering water put a dab of oil in them and cover them with a lid for three minutes. This is the restaurant style poached eggs.
