Favorite Amusement Ride

Carnivals, Festivals, Fairs, Field Days - the midway is always an exciting commotion. Especially at night, when they are all alight.
I think however, my favorite ride is still the merry go round aka Carousel. Even the word Carousel brings memories of care free youth and fairy tale fantasy. I used to imagine that the carousel horse would spring free of the post it was hitched to and gallop off into the magical sunset - with me astride.
The music of the Merry-go-round, is always lovely and playful, like a music box you want to keep winding it up.

You're right the carnivals were always an exciting commotion. The Carousel of horses was always a big hit with me and to this day I still have pictures of my two younger brothers and myself posing in front of our favorite horse. We didn't get to go too often but as long as my dad could afford for us to go he took us.
