Many people including me here in myLot are in fact English learners. They are here mainly to practise their English. Some are students and are preparing for their English Exams. As I don't think my English is good enough, I often hope somebody will point out and correct the language mistakes in my discussions and the responses. What about you? Will you learn better if someone points out your mistakes?

If you choose for your language to be corrected that is a very good quality as you are showing the world that you can accept constructive criticism in order to improve yourself. I would only correct someone if I felt comfortable and they gave me a signal that they wanted to corrected. This is a very good discussion in itself and your English is og a good standard. I wish I could speak Mandarin as well as you can speak English1

Actually, I thought you English was very good in this discussion. I wouldn't have known it wasn't your native language if you hadn't said so. For that I would like to congratulate you for being such a good learner.
I have never corrected anyone before. I have always thought that if they were trying their hardest they might think I was being rude if I corrected them. I never thought that they might want the correction. I will remember that in the future.
As for what you wrote, I see very little that might be considered "wrong". Your first sentence probably should have commas---Many people, including me, here in mylot are in fact English learners. (at least that's how I would write it) The word "practise" is spelled correctly unless you wish to use American English and then would be spelled "practice" but both spellings are acceptable. Those are the only things I notice but are extremely minor.
Keep up the studying! You are doing quite well in my opinion.

Yes,it would definitely help for people who intend to learn the language. However, there are people who might make typographical errors or make a grammatical mistake out of carelessness. In that case perhaps they might not take the correction that well. So,it's difficult to understand who would mind at their mistake being pointed out.Personally,I love to improve my language and add to my vocabulary whenever I can.I think this is a great site to better English speaking and writing skills.

Yes, I quite need someone can correct my poor English in my discussions. I think it is a good way to improve my English.
But now only one correct my mistake. I don't know why they dislike to correct them for me. Who knows? Is it a hard work? Or they are not interested in it.
Where are you from? I'm from China. Frankly my major is English, but I'm afraid to speak English. It is ashamed if I make a mistake. But now I really hope someone can point our my mistakes and correct them for me. I want to learn a native English, not a chinese one. I hope we can talk with each other in English. Good luck.
