Where vanity becomes a sin

I saw one multiply site with the title " If vanity is a sin, then multiply is hell." I thought it over, and concluded that "yeah!" this title is really very true.
People these days are really becoming more and more vain. When did you ever see flashes coming from the insides of a car? Taking pictures in from of the mirror? At the comfort room? it's really weird isn't it?

For me, vanity is a sin when it comes to the point that is the greatest priority of a person. When she hesitates to eat properly because "her figure will be detered".
I am a vain myself, but there are degrees to how they portray it. In my case I don't neglect myself that much. It isn't weird to make a pose out of your 45-degree angle, or picturing yourself from a mirror, or taking weird poses that you think is cute.
It all comes to how you apply vanity to yourself, if you are vain just for fun and being happy, then that's okay as long as you don't make it your high priority.
