Good question. When you find out the answer I'd like to know.
Seriously, I think there are going to be as many reasons as you find people who have achieved this act. I think some of them were at the right place at the right time. Whether they ended up inheriting their family fortune or they found a way to make it on their own. Making that kind of money (and keeping it) is a result of early, hard work, whether it's physical or mental. It's still work.
Investing in the right money making opportunities that give great benefits are important.
If a person is single, it comes from making the right moves. If it's a couple, making those moves to gether for a common goal.
Being smart, making the money for you instead of you working for the money is a good idea, if you can find the right move to make.
Sometimes, it's not always about the amount of money or how much. It's about how you get to that degree of life you can look upon your fortune you amassed and know it was accomplished with hard work, good work, honest work and you didn't have to run over anyone to get where you end up.
If gross worth is counted along with total assets, I'm sure there are people out there who don't realize how much they really have. I know we were amazed at the total worth we have when we started planning and stradegizing. It's a great accomplishment in one's old age.
Great discussion.

You are so right in your assessment, most of us have made and spent over a million dollars in our lifetimes. I know personally I have. And one of the key components is our attitude toward money, and how we view it and how we use it.

I think I do not have millions because I have a soul. LOL. Okay all rich people aren't bad but I do believe they are few and far between.
Sure it would be nice to have a ton of money but we would still be ourselves with our same tired old problems. (Except the pesky lack of money).
I am lucky to be marrying a man that will make my life more comfortable than it ever has been, but I suppose it happened because I don't care about it. I would love him either way.

maybe that's their luck but it will not make them happy, some of them ask for more, things that money can't buy, and average people have those and makes them feel like a millionaire, even though they're not!

I understand that having a million dollars does not make you happy and the things in life that are free does. What I am asking is do you think there is something in those people that everyone else lacks or just has not tapped into. I really don't think luck has anything to do with it.
