I try to write a shopping lsit before i go shopping, not only to help me remember what i need but to remind myself of what i don't need (ie things that aren't on the lsit1). However i will inevitably see some items on offer etc, and be tempted to buy them! I try not to but often do.

Oh yes, if you talk about supermarket shopping for food. If I go there empty stomach, then I would almost buy everything I see and looks delicious to me. So now I just go whenever I have a full stomach. Then I won't have that hungry nerve urging me to buy more stuff than I need. I would be more calm and relaxed, and I would take my time in deciding what I need best and won't buy so many "unwanted" things.

u sound like me. i tend to do that too. buying things which i don't really need in the first place. i'm trying to not do that anymore, only buy the things which i really really need, because i'm so broke now. but the thing is, i want to buy like practically everything! lol. it's so hard to resist the temptation to shop..
