Your wupervisor at work just gave you your six-month pergormance review. He gave u an excellent review and an increase in salary. Would u give a gift?

no, a gift would be inappropriate. just thank the supervisor for his confidence in you and state that you will not disappoint him. if you gave a gift it may appear to others, including his supervisor and your co workers that there is a lobbying effort going on - or a payoff for favors received - bribing etc.
