you have a small problem with your car. You neighbor is a mechanir, and offers to help. He finds the problem in a couple of minutes and fixed it right away. Would u give a gift?

Of course, I will to let him know that he is being appreciated. For us Filipinos, we do value our "debt of gratitude". We find ways and means to return back the kindness extended to us.
