LG or Samsung????

Which TFT LCD is better when I wan to buy a 17" TFT model. The LCD by samsung or by LG. Please suggest, also describe your experience if anyone already using one of these.

samsung is best.i am using 17" tft monitor it is very slim and front border of side of screen has very less width.

Slimness and front borders aren't what make monitor into a good monitor. Good monitors HAVE better colors, smaller response time and better brightness/contrast. If You compare a cheap crappy LCD with a quality LCD then You CAN SEE the difference!

i think it no dout lg but why dont you try samsung i think its quite good looking wise a nd performance also

I frequently check hardware sites and read what they recommend. And I have to admit that they recommend more Samsung than LG. Like for about 400$ (I don't know the price there, but here it is~500$) one of the best LCD is at the moment Samsung 21" LCD SyncMaster 215TW and users are happy with it. I can't say that Samsung is best brand because also they produce sh*t. You just have to choose the best monitor for the price, not just choose by the brand. (You might also want to read some reviews before You buy)
