that's right. electricity is less important than water in most cases.

I can't live without both especially water. When electricity is down, so is our water supply because our water tank is running through electricity. If you don't have water to drink, cook food, wash the dishes, take a bath and wash your poopoo, then your life is very miserable.

this is the challenge where native people survive well.

it is more difficult to function without water than electricity. also our water in the house requires an electric pump - so if I lose electricity the water is gone anyhow. but, if I had a supply of water I would prefer to lose the electricity.

Both are difficult to tackle but i guess one can do without electricity for some time but not without water....so i think i will choose water from the two...But in my house i have hard time with electricity coz i have water supply 24-hrs a day....

One thing I hate most is darkness. I really dont like it when there is a power cut. You practically cannot do anything in darkness. In these modern days, where everything electricity is of great use at home. If there was a water shortage, we can always have the option to eat outside and do the washing later.

i respect your comment. but most people choose to let go electricity in the baddest or worst situation.

We have been without also. I foudn being without water much harder, especially since we were given no warning and had no chance to fill the bath tub or buckets or anything else. It came as a real surprise and we were totally unprepared. With electricity, we have quite a few other back ups in place and while it is a nuisance, it isn't quite the same burden as going without water.

people say, "once bitten, twice shy". when we had water shortage, we have to keep in mind of the nearest future. by preparing water back up or storage of water is a wise thing to do.

Water shortage at home? Unless it is a permanent one, I can buy some bottles of mineral waters to solve it. Electricity shortage, it will be boring at home.....no computer, no surfing.

i haven't heard of a permanent water shortage before. it is as good as not having water supply at all. the same as electricity. our needs of these necessities depends on our lifestyles. water, no doubt we need it. electricity, like i said, depends on our lifestyles.
