Why do I not get responses to my discussions?

Dear lovelydame3000 I think the main reason behind this is -- that these users have quality friends in their list who used to help a lot -- who always make a point to post in their friends discussion and help their friends a lot :) .. plus if u help others .. then other person will also come forward to help you :) .. it's like give and take

Hello,lovelydame,you had only joined mylot for one month and I think everyone is similar in the first month,when times go by ,you will get better response as more friends reply to you.You do not need to worry at all.Also it is important to do tagging everytime you start a discussion as it will increase the chance for your discussion to be found in 'similar discussion'and your number ofg responses will be increased. That's a good question. I think many users ask themselves the same question when their discussions don't get responses. It happens to me a lot when I write really long and intersting discussion and in the end it only gets 1-5 responses and it makes me feel sad. On the other hand, I se some short and easy discussions that get 100 plus responses. In my opinion it is good to have as many friends that follow after your discussions and send responses. But not only number of friends matter, it's also the time that you send your discussion, (if there are many users online or few..) the topic and interest. Anyway, I don't think I could find the anser for why don't I get responses. You chould keep trying until you will succeed.

Another way to increase responses is to increase your friends list....plus alot of people respond to the people who respond to their discussions....for me, I have my email set up to notify me whenever any of my friends begin a new discussion....I read them and respond to the ones that I have an interest in or feel that I can add something to the topic.... Occassionally, I review new discussions....when I answer one, I usually also check out that person's profile....if I see common interests, age, or topics that I could have written...then I invite them to be added to my friends list......also, if I see on their profile that we have vast differences in areas that I find interesting I will also invite them to become one of my friends....and therefore am notified of any new discussions that they begin.. That is how I do it....hope this helps some!
