There is no ideal wage. IT depends on the skills one possess and the place where he renders his service. Wage is cosntantly undergoing changes because it is linked to the cost of living index. In India, a technical person who has a knowledge of computer working can draw close to $1000 per month or slightly less. A cleark can earn only $250.
I am in business and I have a guage that I should do a turnover of $5000 to get my $1000 earning which is quite good.

My ideal wage would be enough to guarantee all the bills are covered plus enough for emergencies with a little left over to save or to buy luxuries or something.
I don't know how much that would be. Our bills come to around £900 per month before food or anything. Then about £100 per month altogether for food shopping so we'd need at least £1000 per month just for basic living expenses (we just about manage that!) but we don't currently have anything spare usually so I'd say for us to live comfortably and be able to buy new clothes when we wanted or to go out for dinner without worrying about whether we could afford it then I would probably say about £2000 per month would be ideal for us but that's twice our entire income so we'd both have to have a good job for that and then we would need child care which we would have to pay about £500 a month for so that would be a waste of time!
