'I always think I am lucky to have my best friends because they always help me when I am in trouble, right now,I am at my friend's home as she knows I cannot access to the internet at home, she asks me to come to her home to have internet access and we can also have some good conversation.
Although it is a small favour, but you will feel happy when someone is able to do you a favour.'
Do you like to help people?
Have you ever helped anyone to get over any troubles?Who were they? What was the result??
Have you ever being helped by someone? What was your feeling when they helped you in the hopeless moment?
'I always think doing people a favour is a virtue and will make everyone happy,so try to help more people if you can,you will also be happy.":)

I started a somewhat similar discussion..'Do you return the favour.". U May like to see that.
Yes, I love to help my friends to the best extent possible and if someone helps me I always feel highly obliged for his/her favour(s). I believe ....it is two way process...the more I am helped by my friends...more I feel like helping them and thus returning the favours done to me. I am lucky...some of my friends are very caring...the moment I tell them...I am in trouble...they will come to my rescue and give all kinds of suggestions and solutions to help me come out of trouble.
Here also, on mylot, those of my friends who help me in my discussions...with sharing their views and thoughts...I also try to do the same to them.
I am lucky to have some very good friends here...on mylot and you are one of them.

My wife and I had an older couple help us out several times. Once we purchased a used washer and dryer set for cheap. We were going to rent a storage unit for them, as we did not have our home yet. Instead, this couple stored them in their garage and brought them to us in our home once we moved in. They were always there for us when ever we need them. We drifted away and I later heard they had moved to another state and I was sad to hear this. However, they always told us that one day, we would have the opportunity to help someone else and by doing that, is how we can repay them. (The pay it forward idea) I thought that was cool.

Yea I'm like that...I've had ppl say things like "oh here let me give you some money" or "I dont knwo how I can repay you" (my hsuband and i have been known to help ppl finacially as well as mentally, spiritually etc etc) and both of us just say, "when you come across someone who needs your help, be there for them and thats payment enough for us"....It really is a great way to do things IMO....

I guess I'm a natural agony unc, judging by the number of people who come up to me for helpful advice and help, and I never have the heart to turn them away, even if I have other things to do or have my own problems to solve, so the least that I do is give them a patient ear, and I find that in many cases, that is all that they want. Many people don't want you to solve their problems, but just want someone to give them a patient ear. There have been times when I myself have been the aggrieved person, and I'm happy to say that my friends have been as good at listening to me as I have been to them. It's good to have friends, you know. I know!

To me, my motto is help when i can...
I dunno when i will need others help...
Besides helping others if i can is something happy too...
Being able to share one's load is something worth to be happy...
The load will be lessen by half and if theres any joy, it will be double...
=)
I do feel helpless at times...
N there's when my friends comes into the topic...
So do my family...
They never failed to cheer me up regardless if its actual helping me or just giving some general suggestions...
A friend in need is a friend indeed...
When they help or u help another person, u will feel happier too...

Yes I help as much as possible. Some part of my earning goes to helping some people. I love this kind of work. But as far as taking help is concerned, it is very rare. I do not love to receive help from others. My needs are limited and I am earning sufficient amount to meet my expenses, so taking help from others rarely arises. God has given me good health so from health side no help is needed. Let us see how long this is continued. One day I will also need somebody's help in life but that day is far from now. This time I am helping the people only.

Hello easy888, I like to help people in anyway I can. I have a friend who was out of job for a while and has incurred a heavy debts. I managed to help her back on her feet again by helping her to get a job. And now she is quite stable and grateful for my help. My mother always help me when I have financial problems. It is a great relief to know that when in time of trouble, I can always seek helps from someone. Yes, to help others in any way we can is a great satisfaction, especially so if that person is happy.

Helping other people especially your friend is one way of showing you care for him/her. It feels good to help someone, its like helping yourself too. When you are in trouble, your friend will help you too. Its a give and take situation. Thats what life is all about .

I like to help somebody especially emotional problems. Some of my friends came to me and ask some help because they have troubles i can help but sometimes i have that problem too. Sometimes i want to be alone and think and think of the possible solutions of my problems. But God is so kind that He help me when i have problems. He sent people to help. Thats why i cant forget its in the Bible whatever you planted you will harvest or reap it. The more you give the more you receive.

I am always trying to help as best I can. If I can lend a hand to someone and make his/her life better, why not? I feel better, they feel better, and we are all one big happy family, right?
Even my work is helping people - I so muc like to help people, I can't see my life without it...

I am a wellness consultant. I try to help as many people as I can to reach a certain goal in their life - according to their need. I offer them a way to reach that goal, under conditions they give (time, money, health, etc.) and they can take this way (sometimes I offer more than one way to do it) or take the other. Either way, I've givven them an option they did not have before that might help them accomplish their goal (these goals are usualy not that easy to achieve... but easy goals are usualy low rewarding ones...).
I do not work alone, I am a part of a wolrdwide organization who is doing this. What are your goals? I mean real goals like - where do you want to be in 5 years, if you had no money/health limitations?

I always try to help people out when I can. My husband and I have been on our own for years. No one really helps us with anything, so I don't know the feeling. I do my best to help people when I can because I know what it feels like to have no one there when you need them. That, I can tell you is a very bad feeling. Knowing there is no one you can turn to in time of need. That is a really hurtful and low feeling.

When I was five I got into a public transport and could not locate my home... well after about an hour of searching I could spot my home and he dropped me in front of my place. But the patience with which he made sure I got home was nice and much appreciated by a troubled 5 year old I still am thankful to that kind human being!
I have had the opportunity to help quite alot of people in this world in varying degrees some of them good and some of them great but not to brag in public... thanks for asking! Cheers
