Are we coming closer to the end of the world?

My fiance asked me last night if I thought we were coming closer to the end of days. He asked half seriously because there are more reports of wildfires, an early start to the hurricane season, and just general destruction over the face of the planet. I told him that we've made our own mess of the planet and that we could try to reverse some of the effects, but enough damage has been done that things will most likely get worse before they get better. I don't think that htey planet will die, but I think somewhere down the road (not in my lifetime, maybe my great-grandkids lifetime) that the planet will begin to balance itself out again as it did with the dinosaurs.

umm this is some of the sign world nearing its end. its a prophecy from roughly 1500 years ago. no, its not Notradamus.
this is some of the sign, there a bit more but can't remember them :
1. calamity happen much often.
- there more calamities in this centuries than than a thousand years ago.
2. war will be on everyday news.
- i think right now the wars don't happen too often, only regional conflicts. but there dangers from those conflict to escalate.
3. there are more women than men.
- about this, i can't really confirm it since i dont have the statistic.
4. men turn into women and women turn into men.
- can you believe that this is from 1500 years ago. i wonder what the people back say about this. it impossible back then. but today this no longer the case. Gender change is possible now.
hmm.this all i can remember for now. i think world probably end in another 500 years.

we are safe another 5 billion years . then the sun will explode . the we will need to leave our planet .
